What is the OC$ Give & Get Marketplace?
Familiar Concept, Local Purpose
Many people are familiar with the Facebook Marketplace platform — think of the OC$ Give & Get Marketplace as something similar in concept, but designed specifically to strengthen our local economy rather than a global platform.
Active members at all levels can post one-off items for sale or list things they're searching for. Active and non-active members can review the offerings posted. Every transaction must accept a minimum of 10% OC$ — though the higher the OC$ percentage, the more likely a sale will result. In some cases, members accept 100% OC$.
For Sellers
Have used furniture, DVDs, electronics, household items, and other offerings to sell? The Give & Get Marketplace is perfect for you. It's also a great location to announce member garage sales or pop-up events — as long as each event accepts a minimum of 10% OC$.
For Buyers
Browse listings from fellow community members and spend your accumulated OC$ balance. Whether you're looking for a specific item or open to discovery, the Marketplace lets your OC$ go further than ever — sometimes covering the full cost of a purchase.

The 10% OC$ Rule
Every listing on the Give & Get Marketplace must accept a minimum of 10% OC$. This rule ensures every transaction contributes to the local currency cycle.
But there's no maximum! Sellers who accept 50%, 75%, or even 100% OC$ will attract far more interest from members eager to spend their accumulated balance. The more you accept, the more community traction your listing gets.
